OUR STORY

The Beginning - 1937

Paschall Truck Lines was started by the late L.W. Paschall and his wife Mary Frank Paschall in 1937. Mr. Paschall began his operation with a 1936 Ford truck, hauling anything he could just to make a living.

As the business began to thrive, so did the services offered by Paschall Truck Lines, and he began to haul general freight between Louisville, St. Louis, Memphis and Murray. By 1972, L.W. had grown the company to 35 employees and over 100 pieces of equipment.

L.W. sold the company in 1973 when he retired. By 1982, the company was providing truckload services to the 31 easternmost states and by 1986, PTL was offering service throughout the entire continental U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

ESOP – October 29, 2013

In order to preserve local ownership of PTL within the community of Murray, KY and further strengthen its future, 100% of PTL’s stock was transferred to its employees through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).

By placing the future of the company in the hands of its employees, both drivers and non-drivers, PTL has ensured that each individual is personally invested in its success.

Paschall Logistics – December 2015

Understanding the benefits 3PLs bring to the supply chain, in December 2015 PTL established its own: Paschall Logistics.  Paschall Logistics, just like PTL, is 100% employee owned.  As of 2022, with a collaboration of over 18,000 partner carriers and 4 offices in Murray, KY, Indianapolis, IN, Saint Louis, MO and Houston, TX, Paschall Logistics has established itself as a leading asset-based 3PL and capacity solutions provider.

Transportation Distribution Company - July 2021

Interstate Personnel Services, Inc. (IPS) announced the acquisition of Joplin, MO based dry van truckload carrier Transport Distribution Company (TDC).

TDC, founded by Larry Kloeppel, has been operating since 1985. IPS cited the quality of the company’s drivers & staff employees, excellent safety profile, and strong customer relationships as keys to the acquisition. “TDC, continues to be led by its President Regan Stephens. TDC operates autonomously under the IPS umbrella, will retain its name, and continue to focus on providing premium regional service to customers throughout the Midwest and Central USA. “TDC’s regional coverage, focus on safety, providing high-level service, disciplined management style, and family culture are exactly what we are looking for as we build and increase overall capacity solutions for truckload shippers in the USA.”

IPS President and CEO Dave Gibbs stated, “We believe this should be a very positive transaction with minimal revenue churn, with TDC retaining its name and its current management team. Our focus is and will be to support Regan and his team on driving benefits due to advantages of scale and certain synergies.”

Regan Stephens stated, “The timing was right for some of our family to retire out of TDC, and the geographical fit was perfect between our companies. Dave Gibbs had my trust not only because I had met Dave before, but he kept gaining trust from day one of our negotiations, and the fact that our TDC people got to become part of a ESOP was a great benefit. The reasons that make this right for our people kept piling up.”
